For more than a century, CSL has been synonymous with medical innovation, serving patients worldwide. Research and development (R&D) is a central component of this. In recent years, however, the framework conditions for biopharmaceutical research have changed dramatically.

Against this backdrop, the decision was made to strategically realign CSL's global R&D presence in order to pool expertise, improve collaboration, and secure the company's long-term innovative capacity.

As part of this global realignment, the research and development activities of CSL Innovation GmbH at its Marburg site will be gradually phased out.

Clear commitment to Germany and the Marburg site remains

CSL's commitment to Germany remains clear. Marburg will continue to be an important pillar in the company's global network. CSL Behring and CSL Plasma will therefore continue to play a key role in providing life-saving treatments to patients worldwide.
