In February, around 90 participants gathered to develop innovative ideas for the future of maintenance at the CSL Behring Manufacturing Site in Marburg. The day began with an inspiring lecture by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lennart Brumby from DHBW Mannheim, which set important impulses.

The interactive workshops offered numerous opportunities to try out and participate. Topics such as digitization, artificial intelligence (AI), predictive maintenance, and the role of humans in maintenance were discussed. The integration of AI into maintenance processes, in particular, sparked great interest.

A highlight was the lively exchange among the participants, leading to many new ideas. Özcan Campinar, Head of the Marburg Maintenance and Utilities Team, emphasized: "We wanted to provide a space where the exchange of ideas and experiences is paramount." This vision was impressively confirmed by the active participation.

Alexandra Rompf, Director of Operational Service, was enthusiastic: "The interactive workshops and the inspiring exchange have shown that we can develop many innovative ideas together. The general enthusiasm and commitment of the participants were overwhelming."

In the pharmaceutical industry, maintenance plays a central role. It ensures that production facilities run reliably and unplanned downtimes are avoided. Predictive maintenance can minimize downtime and ensure product quality, which is essential for the efficiency and safety of production.

The M2U #FutureDay showed that collaboration and knowledge exchange are crucial for the further development of the maintenance industry. We look forward to the future and the joint projects that will emerge from this successful day.
