In the semi-final of the Hessian Founder's Prize at CSL in Marburg on Thursday, 12 Septem-ber, twelve of 48 companies reached the final. A total of 176 young companies had applied. While the pre-selection was made in July on the basis of submitted documents, the 48 semi-finalists now had to compete against each other in one-minute pitches in front of a jury and then answer their critical questions.
“Emil von Behring already showed entrepreneurial spirit when he founded the Behringwerke here in Marburg in 1904, which later became our CSL site. We felt this entrepreneurial spirit everywhere during the semi-finals,” says Niklas Schier, Site Head CSL Behring Marburg. And his colleague Martina Schneider, Chief of Staff CSL Innovation Marburg, adds: ”The ideas presented here are a great example of innovation and diversity. Every single idea demonstrates impressive creativity and forward-thinking. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the participants in the final round and are looking forward to the final results.”
