In the Sustainability Award for Young People of the associations of the chemical industry in Hesse (HessenChemie, Chemie³, VCI Hessen, IGBCE), which was held under the motto “Sustainability in corporate practice – what’s it to us?" this year, a team of three apprentices from CSL Behring in Marburg has been awarded a special prize.

The team of biology laboratory assistants convinced the jury of the associations with their podcast idea on the topic of sustainability in our company, which can be implemented by the apprentices alone. The three young women creatively demonstrated their ability to make their very own contribution to the company.

The prize, worth 500 euros, was presented by Hesse’s Minister of Economics Tarek Al-Wazir in a virtual award ceremony. “I am deeply impressed by how intensively the 15 teams have dealt with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals,” said the minister. "The young generation shows that they want to help shape the future and are ready to make concrete changes in their own environment.”

Jan Achnitz, Program Owner Apprenticeship Marburg: “We are all very proud of our apprentices. These examples yet again show what great ideas and what great potential there already is in our young talents.”
