Alpha1 Science Awards 2025

Call for proposals 2025 for Germany, Austria, Switzerland

Story
A1 Science Awards

This year, for the fourth time, CSL Behring is awarding research prizes to emerging clinicians and scientists conducting work on the disease alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. The Alpha1 Science Awards are designed to encourage innovations to improve the lives of alpha-1 patients.

The awards are reserved for early career clinicians and scientists who hold a medical or a natural scientific degree, without a leading function, and will be granted for either basic research or clinical projects in the field of AATD.

The prize will be awarded to basic research and clinical projects from Germany, Austria and Switzerland that have not yet been published or have not been published more than twelve months before the deadline. The projects will be evaluated, and the winners selected by five well-known, independent Alpha-1 experts. The endowment is EUR 5,000 each and is determined by our Scientific Commission.

To apply, following documents have to be submitted until February 28th 2025 in pdf format via e-mail to alpha1scienceawards@cslbehring.com

  • Application form from CSL Behring
  • Short summary / abstract
  • Manuscript of research/clinical work
  • CV with list of publications

The awards will be granted during the CSL Behring Symposium at the DGP congress on April 10th 2025 in Leipzig. The winners will be notified in advance.
